2010’s JoAnn Falletta International Guitar Concerto Competition Prizes Announced!

The 4th competition takes place in Buffalo, NY, May 31 – June 4! As our Call for Competitor Entry goes out around the world and back, potential competitors are excited to see what they could win if they place 1st, 2nd or 3rd!

First Prize
$7,500.00
Concert Tour including a return engagement with the BPO, appearances with the Virginia Symphony and the Round Top Music Festival in Texas (additional concerts to be announced) Luthier Concert Guitar from Guitarras Alhambra, Spain

Second Prize
$3,000.00

Third Prize
$1,500.00

The stellar judge panel choose 1st, 2nd and 3rd place but the orchestra weighs in as well with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra Musicians Choice Award. And we wouldn’t leave our enthusiastic audience out! The Audience Favorite Award is voted on the night of the finals and announced onstage along with the other awards.
