2008 Competition Community Welcome

Join WNED & the BPO as we give a warm reception to our 10 semifinalists who will arrive here from all over the world to compete in the 3rd biennial JoAnn Falletta International Guitar Concerto Competition. A formal program hosted by the namesake of the Competition, Maestro JoAnn Falletta, will give us all the chance to give a rousing Buffalo welcome to our new international friends.

Directions to WNED
From I-190 North: Take the Church Street exit; turn right at first light onto Lower Terrace. Turn right at next corner, Charles Street. Enter parking lot on the left.
From I-190 South: Take the Niagara Street exit; turn right at first light onto Niagara Street. Turn right on Elmwood Avenue (behind City Hall), which becomes Lower Terrace. Continue on it across Church Street, past the Adam's Mark Hotel, and turn right onto Charles Street. Enter parking lot on the left.
From Downtown Buffalo: Take Elmwood/Lower Terrace (or Delaware, Pearl, or North Division) to Church Street. Angle left onto Lower Terrace (Caution! Too sharp of a left turn will put you on the Skyway!) Pass Adam's Mark Hotel and turn right onto Charles Street, enter parking lot on the left.
